They need all varieties of medical care. A boy needs facial surgery and a new prosthetic eye, a woman needs ongoing care for seizures caused by shrapnel from the bomb that killed her entire family including her baby, a man needs surgery to hopefully get out of a wheelchair, and there are various other kinds of immediate needs for medication for seizures, diabetes, and other kinds of conditions. David Smith-Ferri describes his experience as someone who moved from concerned outrage into direct action. He says meeting Iraqis has helped him to keep moving forward. Thus, in this program we discuss how to cope with the information we have had to accept about the outcome of the war thus far.
